Recap: Sandy Valley Sidewinders vs. Pahranagat Valley Panthers
The Sandy Valley Sidewinders came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 46-39 victory over Pahranagat Valley. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Sandy Valley has scored all season.
It was another big night for Tage Colon, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damion Turner, who scored 11 points.
Sandy Valley's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Pahranagat Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandy Valley will square off against Word of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Mountain View Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
