Recap: Xavier College Prep Gators vs. Hamilton Huskies
It was a good run, but the Xavier College Prep Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to Hamilton 51-46. Xavier College Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hamilton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Xavier College Prep still got an impressive performance from Sarah Miller, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Miller pulled down eight or more rebounds. Dominique Nesland was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Xavier College Prep's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4. As for Hamilton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Xavier College Prep will head out on the road to take on Basha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Basha is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Hamilton will take on Chandler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chandler will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Hamilton is ranked third).
