Lexington had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Round Top-Carmine Cubs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Lexington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-17.
Autum Looper paced Lexington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Looper got some help from Emilia Bayer and her 23 assists. Kinsley Blok controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Round Top-Carmine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-22-1.
Looking ahead, Lexington will head out to take on Little River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Round Top-Carmine, they will welcome Providence Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
