Basketball Game Preview: Greenville Yellow Jackets vs. Kenowa Hills Knights

The Greenville Yellow Jackets will take on the Kenowa Hills Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Greenville didn't have quite enough to beat Allendale and fell 39-36. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellow Jackets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Falcons are ranked 328th).

Meanwhile, Kenowa Hills fought the good fight in their overtime match against Cedar Springs on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Hawks 21-16 in the first quarter.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Kenowa Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Greenville came out on top in a nail-biter against Kenowa Hills when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 51-49. Does Greenville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kenowa Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
