Baseball Recap: Lumberton Panthers vs. Forrest County Agricultural Aggies

After flying high against Jefferson Davis County last Saturday, Lumberton came back down to earth. The Lumberton Panthers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Tyler Morrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024. Johnny Crawford was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lumberton fell to 5-1-1. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lumberton will face off against North Forrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lumberton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will challenge East Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
