Recap: Williams Bulldogs vs. Western Alamance Warriors
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Williams Bulldogs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over Western Alamance. That's another feather in the cap for Williams, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Williams got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brian Williams out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Milton Turner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Williams' win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Western Alamance, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Graham at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Williams is facing Graham at the right time seeing as Graham is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Western Alamance, they will head out on the road to take on Cedar Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Ridge is on a four-game streak of home losses, Western Alamance a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
