            Volleyball Recap: Alameda Pirates vs. Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Alameda was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-2  back in March.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 26-28,  25-20.
 Colin Nguyen paced Alameda's offense, picking up six kills. Nguyen got some help from  Damien Ransdell and his seven assists. Ransdell was also solid from the service line:  he led the team with three aces.
  Adrian Arellano was the offensive standout of the  matchup as he  had 11  digs and five  aces. That's the most  aces  he has posted since back in March.  Jeremiah Mattison also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  assists of the season.
Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season.
 Alameda has already played their next game,  a  3-2  victory against STEM School Highlands Ranch on the 21st. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  loss against D'Evelyn on the 21st.
