Baseball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-6 to the Pine Lake Prep Pride. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Langtree Charter Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Barbee, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Barbee is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

Langtree Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Pine Lake Prep, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.
