Baseball Recap: Bellevue Broncos vs. Mendon Hornets
Bellevue extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They came up short against the Mendon Hornets, falling 13-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Bellevue saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LJ Pierman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Aidan McCrimmon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Looking ahead, Bellevue will take on Burr Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mendon, they will head out on the road to take on Athens at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.11 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
