Baseball Recap: West Orange's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Orange waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Harry S. Truman Tigers, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly two runs.

Braxton Stalvey looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Evan Goodmon was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Angel Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

West Orange's win bumped their record up to 11-4.

West Orange didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Jones on the 20th. As for Harry S. Truman, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Harry S. Truman Tigers take on Lower Moreland Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
