Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 61-50 win over the Holy Name Green Wave. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Green Wave are ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Holy Name, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will take on Padua Franciscan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Holy Name, they will head out on the road to challenge Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
