Football Recap: Chowchilla Skates Past Riverdale with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chowchilla). They blew past the Riverdale Cowboys, posting a 54-0 victory. The Tribe haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chowchilla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Beardsley led the charge by rushing for 16 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 77 yards and one touchdown. Beardsley's passing game has become a key predictor of the Tribe's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another rusher making a difference was Sean Hadley, who rushed for 40 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chowchilla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 382 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Chowchilla's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Paul Miranda was the leader with two sacks.

Chowchilla's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Riverdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chowchilla will host Fowler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tribe will be up against the Redcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Riverdale, they will take on Yosemite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
