Softball Recap: North Bullitt Eagles vs. Southern Trojans

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, North Bullitt brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southern Trojans a 16-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Amree Hammons made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, North Bullitt let Addison Ferguson and Paige Brooks run wild. Ferguson scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2, while Brooks went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Ferguson has posted since back in May of 2024. Gabby Coy was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
