Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles Bulldogs vs. St. Louis Sharks

St. Charles hasn't had much luck against St. Louis recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The St. Charles Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Louis Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, St. Charles was able to grind out a solid win over Swan Valley, taking the game 39-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

St. Charles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allison Zelinko, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. Zelinko is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nicole Zelinko, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

St. Charles was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 15-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, St. Louis waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 victory over the Indians.

St. Charles' win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for St. Louis, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

St. Charles strolled past St. Louis in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 by a score of 47-29. Will St. Charles repeat their success, or does St. Louis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
