Volleyball Recap: Crest Extends Winning Streak to Three

Crest entered their tilt with Ashbrook on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Greenwave with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Crest's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-6.

Crest found their leader in sophomore Casey Goodrum, who had ten digs and two assists.

Crest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. They are 9-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Crest now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Ashbrook, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Crest is set to take on their familiar foe Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ashbrook will challenge rival Huss at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
