Soccer Game Preview: High Tech SD vs. Point Loma

High Tech SD is 0-3 against Point Loma since December of 2014 but things could change on Monday. The High Tech SD Storm are taking a road trip to challenge the Point Loma Pointers at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

High Tech SD fell victim to Mira Mesa and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marauders. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Marauders are ranked 174th).

Meanwhile, Point Loma also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Cathedral Catholic on Friday.

Point Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for High Tech SD, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7-1.

High Tech SD might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Point Loma in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can High Tech SD avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
