Baseball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Leto Falcons

The Bloomingdale Bulls will face off against the Leto Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloomingdale is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

While Bloomingdale's win against Armwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulls never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday.

Javier Navas-Hoyer looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Bloomingdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Perez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Leto made easy work of Chamberlain on Thursday and carried off a 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Bloomingdale pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Leto, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Bloomingdale came up short against Leto in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, falling 4-0. Can the Bulls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
