Recap: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Canyon Ridge Riverhawks
The Ridgevue Warhawks lost against the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Ridgevue fell 61-53 to Canyon Ridge. Ridgevue has struggled against Canyon Ridge recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Ridgevue's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tucker Tiddens, who scored 20 points, and Javonte Boles who scored 16 points. Tiddens scored a full 37.7% of Ridgevue's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Randall, who scored six points.
Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Canyon Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Ridgevue will head out on the road to face off against Vallivue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vallivue knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Ridgevue likes a good challenge. As for Canyon Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Wood River is ranked 63rd, while Canyon Ridge is ranked 50th).
