Basketball Recap: North Harrison Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Clarksville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Harrison, they should've done a better job of containing Grace Goldman. The North Harrison Cougars blew past the Clarksville Generals 57-37 on Thursday thanks in part to Goldman, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Olivia Brown was another key player, going 7 of 16 en route to 16 points and three steals. She also posted a block, marking her first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Clarksville lost, don't look at Julia Perissi. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points.

North Harrison's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Clarksville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

North Harrison and Clarksville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. North Harrison (ranked 207th) will meet Madison (ranked 80th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Harrison is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, Clarksville will face off against Shawe Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday down 194 places (291 vs. 97).
