Soccer Game Preview: Hilmar vs. Orestimba

Hilmar and Orestimba are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hilmar Yellowjackets will welcome the Orestimba Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hilmar will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, it was close, but Hilmar sidestepped Sonora for a 3-2 win. That's two games straight that the Yellowjackets have won by just one goal.

Blake Vitorino and Marlo Coplyn-Torres scored all three of Hilmar's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Orestimba was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 loss to Ripon.

Hilmar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-2 record this season. As for Orestimba, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7-2.
