Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Coast Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Atlantic Coast lost against Mandarin back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stingrays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

While Atlantic Coast had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Kaia Carpenedo paced Atlantic Coast's offense, picking up 15 kills. Carpenedo got some help from Lily Maguire and her 20 assists. Payton Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Mandarin to victory were Madison Cady and Olivia Hollis. Cady had seven digs and four aces, while Hollis had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Cady has posted since back in September of 2024.

Atlantic Coast's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mandarin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Atlantic Coast has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Cornerstone Classical Academy on the 25th. As for Mandarin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Oakleaf on the 26th.
