Softball Game Preview: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Lakeland Dreadnaughts

The Ridge Community Bolts are taking a road trip to challenge the Lakeland Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridge Community has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 17.

Ridge Community fell victim to Haines City and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Hornets.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Lakeland was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Lake Gibson, falling 10-0. Considering the last time the Dreadnaughts couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Lakeland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Ridge Community, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Ridge Community suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Lakeland in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bolts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
