Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Eagles vs. Lakeside School Chiefs

The Trinity Christian Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Lakeside School Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Trinity Christian's offense. They lost 16-0 to Lakeside School on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Lakeside School's part, Carson Britton looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits Britton has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Tyler Mark Bullock was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Rhett Wilbourne, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Lakeside School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Trinity Christian might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Lakeside School in their previous meeting on Monday. Can Trinity Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
