Tomah and Holmen are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Timberwolves will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Tomah has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Tomah's win against Onalaska wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Timberwolves narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hilltoppers 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holmen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over La Crosse Logan on Thursday.

Tomah's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Holmen, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Tomah skirted past Holmen 2-0 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
