Volleyball Recap: West Las Vegas Dons vs. St. Michael's Horsemen
West Las Vegas came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Michael's Horsemen, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Horsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in October.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.
Leading St. Michael's to victory were Ava Cola and Emily Villanueva. Cola had 11 digs and one assist, while Villanueva had nine digs, five kills, and two aces. Cola has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Casey Bowen also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
