Beaumont United has gone a perfect 5-0 against La Porte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Beaumont United Timberwolves will square off against the La Porte Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Beaumont United came up short against West Brook and fell 54-46. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Bruins are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, La Porte made easy work of Texas City on Tuesday and carried off a 78-54 win. The Bulldogs have beaten the Stingarees the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Stingarees has come to flipping the script.

Beaumont United better focus on containing Trent Callies and Caden Watson as the pair were huge in La Porte's win. Callies posted ten points along with seven assists and five steals, while Watson went 5-for-12 on his way to 13 points and four steals. That's the most steals Watson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kente Winrow, who put up ten points.

La Porte smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

La Porte's victory bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Beaumont United, their loss dropped their record down to 22-10.

Everything came up roses for Beaumont United against La Porte in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, as the squad secured a 92-54 win. Will Beaumont United repeat their success, or does La Porte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
