Football Recap: Normal University Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Normal University and Washington squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Normal University had to settle for second. They were dealt a 45-13 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Pioneers were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Panthers' defense proved too tough.

Despite the loss, Normal University still got an impressive performance from Cade Cunningham, who picked up 84 receiving yards and one score.

The defeat snapped Normal University's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Washington, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
