Basketball Game Preview: Newman International Academy Warriors vs. Johnson County Sports Association Lions

The Newman International Academy Warriors and the Johnson County Sports Association Lions will face off at 10:45 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Newman International Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Heritage Christian Athletics.

Meanwhile, Johnson County Sports Association was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Bethesda Christian 67-21.

Newman International Academy will have to keep a close watch on Jason Calaway and Noah Bond, a pair of players who had a big impact on Johnson County Sports Association's prior game. Calaway posted six points and six steals, while Bond had four points.

Newman International Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Johnson County Sports Association, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
