Softball Game Preview: Altavista Colonels vs. Lunenburg Central Chargers

The Altavista Colonels will venture away from home to face off against the Lunenburg Central Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Altavista didn't have quite enough to beat Nelson County and fell 10-9.

Meanwhile, Lunenburg Central put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Amelia County with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Chargers have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lunenburg Central pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Altavista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
