Game recap: Eupora High School Football Team wins against Coahoma County

EUPORA, Miss. - Special teams carried Eupora (Miss.) to a 49-0 victory over Coahoma County (Clarksdale, Miss.) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The Eagles's special teams scored on a kick return and a punt return.

Eupora was up 36-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Smith Vandy touchdown run in the first quarter.

EHS expanded its lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. The Eagles' lone score in the quarter came on a kick return.

Eupora put up 29 points in the first quarter en route to the win. EHS scored on a touchdown run by Vandy, a punt return touchdown, a passing touchdown and a touchdown run in the quarter.



The Eagles' standout player in the win was Vandy. He ran for one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.

Eupora came into the game allowing 12.0 points per game. The Panthers' zero points were below their season average of 6.0 per game.
