Basketball Preview: Airline Vikings vs. Natchitoches Central Chiefs
The Airline Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Natchitoches Central Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Last Tuesday, Airline slipped by the Gators 55-54.
Meanwhile, Natchitoches Central can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 83-54 victory over Fairview on the road. Given Natchitoches Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Panthers are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Airline is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Natchitoches Central, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.
Airline couldn't quite finish off the Chiefs in their previous matchup back in January and fell 57-55. Can Airline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
