After a string of four wins, Millersburg's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pequea Valley Braves. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Millersburg lost, don't look at Chase Romberger. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 10 en route to 14 points along with five boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Schreffler, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Millersburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Pequea Valley, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millersburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Juniata at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Millersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
