Recap: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Rancho Rams

It was a good run, but the Silverado Skyhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-36 to Rancho. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Silverado of the 43-32 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Silverado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kingsley Jones. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jones scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Stowers, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Rancho, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will take on Cimarron-Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rancho, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Western at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. Western has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
