Basketball Recap: Oelwein Takes a Loss

Oelwein was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Union Knights, falling 85-46. The Huskies lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-48 score last time.

Oelwein's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Union, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Oelwein will head out to face off against Columbus at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union, they will be home for the holidays to greet Jesup at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Jesup likes a good challenge.
