Sacred Heart (Sedalia, Mo.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 54-7 win over Slater (Mo.).
The Gremlins put up 21 points in the opening quarter. Sacred Heart scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run and a rushing touchdown.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, SH was up 35-7 at the half.
The Sedalia school expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. The Gremlins scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return.
Slater's lone touchdown came on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter.
The win was a nice bounce back for Sacred Heart, which lost to Cole Camp last week, 57-35. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Wildcats.
