Recap: Ballston Spa Scotties vs. Shenendehowa Plainsmen
The Ballston Spa Scotties lost against the Shenendehowa Plainsmen back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ballston Spa might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 56-12 to Shenendehowa, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Ballston Spa has struggled against Shenendehowa recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Michael Whatley looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 237 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. Ihsaan Alozie was in the mix as well, providing Shenendehowa with two touchdowns.
Shenendehowa's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB nine times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Ballston Spa has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Shenendehowa, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Ballston Spa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shenendehowa will face off against Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
