Basketball Recap: Iola Comes Up Short

Iola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-18 loss at the hands of the Mumford Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-14 back in December of 2024.

Iola's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Mumford, their victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5.

Iola will take on Somerville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mumford, they will face off against Bremond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremond will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Mumford surely won't give up without a fight.
