Basketball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pipestem Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-31 win over the Maranatha Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. The Panthers pushed the score to 39-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Enoch Gonderman was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Mattox, who posted eight points.

Pipestem Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers take on the Teays Valley Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will take on Mount Hope Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Hope Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
