Preview: Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs vs. Thunder Ridge Longhorns
After four games on the road, Sylvan-Lucas is heading back home. They will take on the Thunder Ridge Longhorns at TBD on Friday. Sylvan-Lucas will be strutting in after a win while the Longhorns will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Sylvan-Lucas earned a 45-36 victory over the Grizzlies.
Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge's 16-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-34 to St. John's/Tipton Catholic, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, Thunder Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Blujays are ranked 147th).
Sylvan-Lucas is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Thunder Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
