Volleyball Recap: Center Grove Triumphs

Center Grove posted their closest win since March 16, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Harrison Raiders.

Center Grove found their leader in freshman Xavi Pineda, who had 13 digs and two aces. Martin Pentchev also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Center Grove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. As for Harrison, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.

Center Grove has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Guerin Catholic on the 19th. As for Harrison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Central on the 19th.
