Kensington couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-4 walloping at the hands of Carver High School of Engineering & Science on Tuesday. Kensington was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carver High School of Engineering & Science apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

For Carver High School of Engineering & Science's part, Jonah Staples and Mehkai Pressley did most of the damage at the plate: Staples scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Pressley scored a run and stole five bases while going 1-for-2.
