Preview: Akron-Westfield vs. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will challenge Akron-Westfield on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn had a rough outing against South O'Brien two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn came out on top against Hinton by a score of 21-7 last Friday.
Meanwhile, Akron-Westfield were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They made easy work of Gehlen Catholic and carried off a 34-0 win. Followers of Akron-Westfield probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
