Basketball Game Preview: Canon City Tigers vs. Sierra Stallions + How To Watch

The Canon City Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Sierra Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. The matchup between Canon City and Grand Junction didn't end well, with Canon City falling 50-35. While losing is never fun, Canon City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Grand Junction is ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 50-34 bruising from Pueblo East.

Canon City will have to keep a close watch on Kayden Jacobi and Amari Redwine, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sierra's prior game. Jacobi posted six points and six rebounds, while Redwine put up ten points.

Canon City's record now sits at 1-6. As for Sierra, their record is now 0-5.

Everything went Canon City's way against Sierra in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Canon City made off with a 50-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
