Marco Aruta Dazzles in St. Peter's Win

Marco Aruta's big game helped extend St. Peter's winning streak to six on Saturday. Aruta was unstoppable, picking up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 80 yards.

Moore Catholic's probably not too fond of Aruta given he always seems to get the better of them. When Aruta last faced the Mavericks back in October of 2023, he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 159 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.

Jayden Melendez posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. He picked up 71 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremiah Williams and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Jeremiah Williams was instrumental in extending St. Peter's winning streak to six on Saturday. Williams was dynamite, rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 125 rushing yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Williams might just drop another big game when he faces off against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea on Saturday. Williams rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September.
