After a string of nine wins, South Eugene's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Albany Bulldogs. If the Axe were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

South Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 18-2. As for West Albany, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

South Eugene has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against South Salem on the 18th. As for West Albany, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Redmond on the 18th.
