Baseball Recap: Park Place Christian Academy Gets the Win

Park Place Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Copiah Academy Colonels by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Peyton Bray was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only a hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Bray was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Bray wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drake Cliett, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Park Place Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Copiah Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Park Place Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Copiah Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
