Volleyball Recap: Hiram Takes a Loss

Hiram lost against South Cobb back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Hiram was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made South Cobb work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24.

Leading South Cobb to victory were Nicolette Sweat and Kaliyah Gaines. Sweat had 14 assists and three aces, while Gaines had five digs. Those 14 assists gave Sweat a new career-high.

The win got South Cobb back to even at 1-1.

Hiram has already played their next contest (against Lassiter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Cobb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Osborne on the 7th.
