Service strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the West Anchorage Eagles with a sharp 11-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Braun Precosky made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Palmer Dalton and Sage Garsha did most of the damage at the plate: Dalton got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Garsha got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs Dalton has posted since back in May of 2024. Gideon Lesslie was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Service's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for West Anchorage, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Service will challenge Soldotna at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for West Anchorage, they will be playing at home against Chugiak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
