Basketball Recap: Logan-Rogersville's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Logan-Rogersville lost to Summit Christian Academy back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Logan-Rogersville Wildcats blew past the Summit Christian Academy Eagles 59-33. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Despite the defeat, Summit Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mike Thomas III dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. What's more, Thomas III also racked up six blocks, the most he's had since back in January. Max Rieger was another key player, putting up 15 points.

The win was the third in a row for Logan-Rogersville, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Summit Christian Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Logan-Rogersville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thayer at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Summit Christian Academy, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Summit Christian Academy Eagles challenge the Greenwood Blue Jays at 2:30 p.m. on December 14th.
