After flying high against Hampton last Saturday, Twin River came back down to earth. The Twin River Titans took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCool Junction Mustangs on Monday. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mapieu Kouchinin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards for McCool Junction. Kouchinin is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Bryson Plock, who went 6 for 13 en route to 16 points.

Twin River's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for McCool Junction, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

When Twin River and McCool Junction next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Twin River will face off against Shelby-Rising City and their three-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McCool Junction will try to stop East Butler's 15-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
